Partnerships
Partner with Fourth Floor
We work with organisations whose work sits close to ours: culture, music, art, sport and the under-reported. We partner on things we already do, and on new ideas that give our contributors and audiences something worthwhile.
01Ways to partner
Three ways to work with us
- Presenting a strandBack something we already run: an open call, Picks of the month or Fourth Floor Sounds, our mix series. You are named as the presenting partner, clearly labelled, and you have no say over what we choose.
- EventsCo-host a night, screening, talk or exhibition. We bring the programming and the audience. You bring a space, a line-up, equipment or funding.
- Content and institutionsGalleries, universities, charities and publishers: co-commission a feature or a photo essay, or work with us on a funded project.
02Our principles
How we work with partners
- IndependentPartners can support what we do. They do not decide what we publish, and nothing is changed or held back for a partner.
- Clearly labelledAnything made with a partner is marked, with wording such as "Presented by" or "In partnership with", so readers always know.
- A real fitWe say yes to partners whose work is close to ours, and no to those whose is not, however good the offer.
- Everyone creditedEveryone who makes something is named and credited, on the page and on our credits page.
03What we have done
A night, a call for work and a mix series
In June 2025 we hosted Fourth Floor Presents: Avalon Cafe in Bermondsey, London, with five artists on the line-up.
Our first open call, Water, gathered photo essays, poetry and visual work from emerging and established contributors. Fourth Floor Sounds is our ongoing series of mixes.
04How it works
From first message to delivery
- Get in touch.Tell us who you are and what you have in mind, in a few lines.
- We talk it through.A short call to check it works for both sides.
- We agree it in writing.A short brief: what each side provides, how it is credited and labelled, and what we will not do.
- We make it, and report back.We deliver what we agreed and tell you how it went.
